The original kitchen was completely demolished and rebuilt to accommodate a new layout and new finishes. The white diamond-shaped ceramic tile backsplash stands out in contrast to the black shelving and plumbing fixtures — a design match made in heaven!

The initial goal of the client was to add a new living room adjacent to the kitchen, which would overlook the large intimate courtyard. 

HGTV Canada's Toronto-based design collaborator Sarah Baeumler handselected a wide array of natural stone and porecelain tiles and slabs for this swoon-worthy dream house for the ‘Princess Margaret Lottery Show Home’, with the goal of raising funds and awareness for The Princess Margaret Cancer Foundation. Good design, for a good cause: a great success!
